Default Tales of the Underground

((Greetings, all!

It's a shame The Treasure Hunt thread seems to have lost the interest of several who had set out to join; yet I'm sure there are others who are still interested in some RP-ing action. Therefore, while I'd originally planned this as a fiction, I've decided to let others join in so that we may build a story together. Now I'll start by setting the basis: ))

It has been several years since the defeat of Abaddon at the hands of the Sunspears. With the seed of malice vanquished, the peoples of the world were free to rebuild their lives and homes, and no other as much as that small but once proud nation - Ascalon. The ash clouds had settled, the melted snow of the Shiverpeaks had drained away the tar, plants grew once again. Ascalon relived, the passing years slowly had overgrown old scars; the hulking crystals and slanted lands the only lasting memories of the Searing. But all was not yet well, for the call of Home is a strong one; and slowly but surely, those adventurers that had left returned to their homelands. And with them, they brought vicious new weapons, dreadful knowledge, greedy ambitions.

So it came that Ascalon was once again under the grip of strife. The grassy plains witnessed combat between warriors that struck fear in the black hearts of demons. Quickly, the strongest groups stamped their marks upon the land, driving the defeated and the refugees alike into the relative safety of the Catacombs. There, communities formed and rogues thrived, out of sight of the new Ascalonian Order.

((I hope this has spiked your interest, and if so, please submit a character profile before you start posting IC:

Name: Ivy McFinch
Sex: Female
Age: 25
Profession: Ranger
Appearance: A lean, jumpy young woman with shoulder-length light chestnut hair, tied into a pair of tresses at the back. Has emerald eyes and her skin is bronze coloured from exposure to the sun. (As more or less descriptive as you see fit)

Personality: From having lived amongst the Luxon Armada for several years, Ivy values personal skill and strength. Victory and survival come at any cost, and any means are acceptable. She is viciously blunt and despises weakness. Yet, she is still more inclined to be kind than wicked, except by necessity.

I'll wait a bit to see how many people actually feel like joining before starting.
Note: Your character doesn't have to be Ascalon-born.))

Neat idea! A story others can join. Pretty nice.
I'll join in, but the problem is, I have 2 favourite characters, so you choose the one that suits you best ^^

Name:Timot Holystrike
Sex:Male
Age:23
Proffesion:Monk
Appearance:Elonian-darker skin, almost completely bald except for some dark hair on the back of the head. Looks serious but in fact likes to make jokes and laughs a lot.

Name:Illusionary Beauty
Sex:Female
Age:24
Proffesion:Mesmer
Appearance:White skin, less than shoulder-lenght fiery red hair. She is usually quiet and seems out of the situation. Always looks like shes thinking deep thoughts. Gets sarcastic in situations.

I added more descriptions about their personality cuz I find that more important in a story ^^

This might be interesting, there haven't been any freely open roleplays here in a while, but I'm not sure how often I'd be able to post with school and all this end-of-the-year chaos. If I don't join up, I'll keep a keen eye on this as long as it holds my interest.

Best regards, and happy roleplaying.

((Okay, well I'll get the story started and hopefully others will join in.
In the meantime, I can't really force you which character to pick, Timotheos. However you're welcome to have them both in, if you'd like.))

Golden streaks of light slivered down through the cracks in the ceiling, falling squarely down on a slight sleeping form. The ranger girl stirred and started from her position sitting against the towering wall. She winced from the light as she rubbed her sleepy eyes, and groggily stood up. Peering down from her ledge into the catacombs below, she noted the town was already busy, people milling about the shoddy wood-and-stone huts piled into an anthill-like structure.

The awoken Ivy dusted off her outfit, a pair of leather boots and linen pants fastened with a green sash and sporting exotic brands of carapaces for protection. She straightened a leather vest that left her belly exposed and brought a hand up to a chunk of jade tied to a brown choker. Feeling the spirit of the strange small jellyfish trapped inside touch her mind in greeting, Ivy slung her half-empty pack over her shoulder and ducked into a narrow spiraling staircase that took her down, down, down...

Wonderful! Someone's started an RP again. Yeah, Treasure Hunt didn't end up as I'd hoped. Hopefully, this one will work out. Mind if I join?

Name: Griel Riggs
Sex: Male
Profession: Assassin
Age: 32
Appearance: Griel has a ruffled mess of black hair and piercing blue eyes. His face is generally tall and thin, and he wears a slight stubble. By mostly staying in the shadows (due to the...nature...of his job), Griel's skin is pale. He wears simple clothing, aside from his maroon cape slung across his shoulders.
Personailty: Witty and sarcastic, Griel is not your typical serious assassin. Then again, maybe it's just all part of his ploy to get you into trusting him. Sly and conniving, yet friendly when he needs/wants to be.

I'll let the story unfold a bit more before I post.

OOC: Woohoo! I get to be in another story with Griel! But with my lovable rogue this time!

IC:
Name: Throrin Oakenshield
Sex: Male
Profession: Warrior
Race:Half Dwarven( plays into his character and his backstory, only reason I added this)
Age: 36
Appearance: Throrin appears normal, apart from being vertically challenged, but pull off his plate-mail and you see the hair. His father was human and his mother a dwarf, leaving some very distinct facial features.(OOC: His beard is teh awesome:P) And of course, he wears his cape proudly. Buddy The Turtle shines proudly on his back and pauldrons.
Personality: Short tempered, and has the muscles to back it up. Is fiercely loyal and will do absolutely anything to protect his friends or quest. But is prone to practical jokes and has a good sense of humour.

Like my friend Doug, I think I'll wait until the story fills out a post or two more before I jump in. Need a good place to introduce myself.

IC:
Name: Cleopas the Blessed (this is not his real name - he only gives that to people he knows and trusts greatly)
Sex: Male
Age: 35
Profession: Monk
Appearance:

Personality: Do not be fooled by his seemingly friendly and carefree look. He is a devout follower of the Old Gods, primarily Dwayna, and several years of living in the Echovald Forest with the Kurzicks have made him a serious, unemotional, deep-thinking and slightly reclusive man. However, he has great admiration for nature and shows respect for all varieties of magic when they are being used for good purposes. When it comes to fighting, he protects his allies and smites his foes with equal power and concentration.

The Thing, I guess it's up to you to fill out the story a bit more before the rest of us join in.

Meanwhile I will post my character which I think should take part in the story.

IC:
Name: Miho Hyroshi
Sex: Female
Age: 20
Profession: Necromancer
Appearance:

Personality: Silent, on the background and mostly turned into herself. Almost never showing emotions, because she thinks emotions are for the weak. A true worshipper of Grenth which commits her to take part in dark rituals. Mostly visions of Grenth (who is giving assignments to his worshippers) occur during these dark rituals. She does not care about other people, only Grenth means truly something to her. Although other people leave her cold, Miho is willing to tag along with certain parties which could aid her in the assignments given by Grenth. With the power of Grenth running true her veins, Miho is the master of minions spawned from the depths of the Underworld. With these minions besides her and under the possession of strong curses to paralyze her enemies Miho is always ready for a fight.

((Wow, lots of people joining! Miho, a major part of theses underground passages are actually buried stone structures, so there are many narrow passageways, corridors and stairwells. As for where it takes her....))

Ivy emerged from a vine hidden cleft in the side of the great hallway. Checking that the coast was clear, she scurried along the grimy wall until she came across a barricade. Rubble had been piled up with strenth of arm and magic to form this massive, if ungainly, wall. A narrow passage had been left in the middle, closed up with a wooden rampart that held a small person-sized door. After rapping at the door, she was let through, under the watch of a host of paranoid guards. Beyond the wall stood the town she was overlooking earlier, one of the major communities of the Catacombs, and which everyone "lovingly" called Benton's Mound.

Climbing up through the spiraling alleyways of the town, she noted the various merchants' stocks seemed to be growing thinner. Thus, it came as no surprise to her to find a crowd in the town square, listening to the ramblings of an old man perched atop a short pedestal. His fine (but patched up) robes marked him as an elementalist, and indeed quite a powerful one, as the hard and wrinkled face belonged to none other than Gernus Benton. The founder of the town, and mayor. She listened half-heartedly at his boring speech, waiting for the inevitable conclusion:

"...then let us take our due share! To refill our supplies, I ask the most valiant amongst you...step forth! Let us raid the surface and claim bountiful harvest for our own!"

Ivy ignored the ensueing clapping and slipped through the crowd towards a scribe holding a scroll. People left him a wide berth, unwilling to get near. Ivy was the first to walk up. The scribe lifted a quilted pen and coldly asked, "Your name?...". Ivy lifted an eyebrow and tossed back, "What for?" The man grinned wickedly. "...For the memorial...", to which she chukled, "Put 'A Ranger', we don't have all day." The scribe tapped her shoulder with his feather pen, "Your loss, poppet. Go down that way to see the Captain of the Guard....NEXT!"

((Added in Personality in Ivy's bio.))

Default Tales of the Underground

IC:
Miho was wandering around in buried stone structures. Dark, shady places always drawed her attention and cleaned her mind. But this was not the reason why Miho was down here.
During her last vision of Grenth, the allmighty Grenth told her to seek for an underground community leaded by a great elementalist. Why or where was not told, but Miho was nothing more then an humble servant in service of Grenth which forced her to comply to Grenths will. Miho's body was still scarred from the last ritual to get in contact with Grenth. The ritual had been a painfull one and it had taken her a few days to recover from the injuries.

Miho noticed that bright, twinkling eyes were watching her from all corners inside the structures, but no beast nor demon showed its entire body. Savages seeking for food and preferably meat from easy targets. The savages were probably strengthened by the sight of Mihos scars and the idea that Miho was weakened. But Miho had faced more fearfull creatures then these.

'Miserable creatures, not even worthy to function as corpses for my beloved minions,' Miho thought. 'Even now - while I am not fully recovered - those things do not form any threat at all!'
And as if she needed to prove this to the observing eyes, a dark aura gathered around Miho's body. A thirsty feeling arose inside Miho, a thirst for blood, a vampiric thirst which needed to be stilled. A
[skill=text]Vampiric Gaze[/skill] struck the nearest creature. The next moment the buried stone structure was full of scratching and crawling sounds from fleeing creatures. Miho walked to the struck creature. It was some form of misshaped mutant and Miho wondered how a Animated Shambling Horror - resurrected from this misshaped body - would look like. She started to grin.

'Okay Miho, you have had enough fun for today,' Miho wispered to herself. 'It is time to get moving again.' And so she did through small corridors, narrow passageways and long stairwells searching for the community leaded by a great elementalist. Little did she know that her destiny would be a town called "Benton's Mound".

OOC: I hope this was a nice introduction from my side to join the story. I thought it was better to not yet enter the town, but give my motives for wandering around in this Underground world. I will enter the town soon tho, but I am just waiting for a little bit more details.

OOC: Ah, good. Time to input Griel into this. Hope you like it/approve.

Stepping out of the shadows of a market stall, Griel Riggs wandered into the crowd. ‘Go underground, they said! No troubling authorities, they said! The easiest job in the world! Pah. I’d rather live in a Devourer’s nest,’ the assassin thought, his arms swinging at his sides as he walked. ‘I don’t understand how these people can live down here. I can barely see without any sun or moonlight.” Just then, Griel heard a voice calling out through the busy crowd.

“…our supplies, I ask the most valiant amongst you...step forth! Let us raid the surface and claim bountiful harvest for our own!”

A roar of applause went up in the crowd, and Griel’s eyes sparkled with interest for two reasons. This stranger, possibly some great resistance leader, had spoken of a raid on the surface. That could provide him with a means to get out of this rat-hole, and also a chance at some riches along the way.

The second reason was that, if the information he was given by his employer was correct, the man who had just spoken was the assassin’s next target.

Griel eyed the townsfolk warily. There was no way he could just march up and kill the man. He had to have bodyguards of some type, and there would be plenty of witnesses. Even after he had made the kill, where would he run to? He had only found the entrance to the catacombs, and the city, by dumb luck. The only place to go would be into the darkness, and that almost certainly meant death.

Besides, he had only gotten a brief glimpse of the man. Perhaps it wasn’t the correct target after all. Then again, his employer had specified that this ‘Benton’ would be a rebellious type. Griel stopped to think, snatched a scrap of food from a nearby stall unnoticed, and took a large bite. “Pteh!” He instantly spit out the bad-tasting filth, whatever it was. No, this place was definitely not to his liking.

The man decided to follow his usual plan: gain the man’s respect, learn as much about him as possible, then strike when he was alone and weak. No witnesses, an easy kill, and Griel would have his money and be out of here. The best way to do it, he reasoned, would be to help with this resistance, or rebellion, or whatever it was.

“Go down that way to see the Captain of the Guard. NEXT!” a scrawny-looking scribe yelled out. Griel casually strode up to him, making sure to keep his twin serpentine daggers hidden.
“Excuse me, sir. Is this the line for…whatever that man was planning?” Griel asked, placing his hand on his chin.
“Right this way, guv’nah. ‘Fore you get started on your suicide mission, I’ll need your name.”
“A name, a name…right. The name’s Lee Feng. A pleasure.”

Griel never gave out his true name, of course. Not the right thing to do in his kind of work. He offered a friendly hand to shake. The scribe did not return the favor, instead scrawling down the name, then pointing off to where he had led the young ranger woman in front of him. Griel followed, knowing that this was putting him one step closer to his goal.

OOC: lol Let em give this a try.

Azrael Wyvern and Kraid Maelwaedd where hired to be a mans body guards

There hired man screamed

"...then let us take our due share! To refill our supplies, I ask the most valiant amongst you...step forth! Let us raid the surface and claim bountiful harvest for our own!"

Azrael Wyvern looked at his father and said "I hate this Gernus Benton dad I dont trust him nor do I like his looks," his father looking at there employer with sciptic eyes said with a laugh "nor do I son but we have no choice we need money now to get Dro out of jail for that assassin attempt," he sighed and said "he was the only one who tried to get us money once we got here, we atleast ow him this much". They both sighed and saw a ugly haired man going up to the scribe Azrael with a laugh and looked at his father and said "This guy looks like trouble I dont like his hair," his father laughed with him and said "son you cant judge every one by there hair."

They also saw a ranger going up to the scribe as well she was quite attractive to Azrael's eyes and knew instently that she was luxon(he liked women with dark skin) by her skin. He knew he had to get to know her he smiled to himself until his father hit him over the head with his scythe. In anger he said "why did you do that for!" his father applied "because I felt like it now come on the Gernus Benton is moving now get you're butt moving and lets go."

There boss Gernus was talking to some of the merchents but suddently asked, "I need one of you to go on this raid with the captain," then he looked at us and said, "well come on who will it be," I had to do this to get near that ranger so I said "I will sir," my father was stunned and was about to object but it was to late to turn back Gernus Spoke and said "alright then go back and go down thows stairs and find the captain." I felt so happy this was my first assignment alone, and I had to get near that women.

Ic:
Kraid Maelwaedd was watching Gernus talk to more of his bloody merchents until he felt a dark presence coming. Somthing so evil he felt clammy hands going up his back. What ever is coming... was being commanded by a god. He had no choice but to ask Gernus to be excused to take care of this evil. "My liege I sense somthing coming and I wish to see what it is," his reply was "yes you may go." Somehow he knew that this force is coming to. Only thing he could think about his higher was that he wish he could throw him over a cliff.

So he went to the outscirts of town to find a human shap figure coming in the dark. He trembled once but only once and then he screamed "In the name of Grenth be gone vile thing!" He thought to him self why it was just standing there but he could hear it breath. All kind of scenarios raced threw his mind. Could it be some kind of evil demented beast. Or maby it was a charr. No it was to small. Maby a evil sprite using the gods powers for miss use. All these ideas frightend him. He thought to himself I better not attack until eather it answers with words or deeds.

Throrin stared. He knew that face....It was Griel. What the heck was he doing down here? He had just signed up to join the raid, and Throrin knew that if he was to speak to his old 'friend' he would have to sign up too.

"Ello boy. Sign me up. I'm a itchin' to get me some blood on this here axe," Throrin said with a bit of his pirate drawl, though it had been a while since he had been with his armada, " Names Farthen Dwarfsson."

"Righto guv'nor. Follow those other two and you'll be on your way."

Throrin ran after the girl ranger and Griel. As he got closer he slowed, knowing Griel would recognize his pounding strides. Coming into a slow tip-toe, he snuck up behind the assassin....

"Hey skinny, fancy meeting you here! Gonna stick me with your little fruit peelers? How've you been?"

"Come on! Let' s sign up."

"Timot...Why did I know this was going to happen? Every time we go somewhere you get us into something." started Illusionary Beauty at her old friend which was beginning to annoy her over time.

"And we always had a wonderfull time and we got to see the world." said Timot back to her.

*sigh* "When will you understand? Sometimes you just dont take hold of every adventure that comes by. Besides, we just came here to see the catacomb monuments."

Timot looked at her. He knew his friend very well and he knew that she was about to lose her patience with him. She followed him to some of the most dangerous parts of the world and never complained much. He understood they were different, but he still wasn' t about to lose hope. "Please, just this one more time and then I swa- "

Beauty' s fiery red hair flashed as she turned her head fast and gave an impaling look to her friend. Her voice raised in anger "That' s it, Timot. I can' t take it anymore. If you want to go, go but I' m going my own way this time. I' m not risking my life again for your adventures. Goodbye!"

Timot watched her leave. He knew she won' t change her mind this time. He bowed his head. He' s going to miss her. A lot. He had feelings for her she didn' t know about.

He rose his head and walked torward the scribe. "Put down Timot Holystrike." he said and went to join the others.

"Pheew, did someone forget to take a bath today? he said when his nose caught a rather nasty smell. A pale-looking assasin pointed at a rather overgrown dwarf figure...

Beauty watched her friend from above. No regrets...

OOC: Apologies if this is a bit long; my first posts in RPs usually are.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The grim-faced guards stood aside and Cleopas cautiously stepped through the wooden north gate of Benton's Mound. He reminded himself once again of the sole reason for his venture into this area of the catacombs: to find his family. Then again, he had trusted the word of an old, broken shopkeeper in Ascalon City who had been convinced that he was a foreigner until Cleopas gave his name, telling the man that they had been next-door neighbours before the Searing struck. At that point the shopkeeper had raised an eyebrow before beginning to nod excitedly, slowly becoming more vigorous until he burst into maniacal laughter. When he had finished, he told Cleopas matter-of-factly that the last he had heard of his family was that they had fled into the catacombs, seeking refuge in a small community lead by Gernus Benton.

"... I ask the most valiant amongst you...step forth! Let us raid the surface and claim bountiful harvest for our own!"

These words reached the monk's ears as soon as he entered the town. As the wild applause that followed echoed through the caverns, Cleopas remembered the words of Sir Tydus in the Ascalon Mustering Hall so many years ago: "King Adelbern asks for the strongest, the smartest and the bravest among you to step forward! Today we recruit the heroes who will push back the Charr once and for all, and lead our kingdom to glory..." What an adventurous and daring man he had been that day, to sign up to what would become a massive quest to save the world from destruction. And now here he was, back where it had all begun, looking for his ordinary family. He hadn't seen them since he set sail for Elona with Kormir and the others, yet he felt no regret for having left them for so long. It was his destiny to be a hero and to save the world once again - the Gods had determined it to be so before any of it happened.

Cleopas walked briskly past the large crowd, at the centre of which was the man who had delivered the speech. This was not the time to begin another great adventure, he told himself. He intended to stay with his family for a short while, recount his adventures to them and then return to Cantha. The few people nearby who were not part of the crowd stared at his exquisite Kurzick clothing, but he did not look back. If it gave them pleasure to look, then he would allow them to do so; to turn his head towards them would give them the feeling that they were disapproved of.

That man over there, carrying a plank of wood - was that his father? No, he was too young, thought Cleopas. It was at this point that he realised he had absolutely no idea of where he was going, or where he should be going. He stopped in the middle of the street and took in his surroundings: behind him was the town square, full of people, around which several important buildings such as the Barracks and the Mayor's Office stood. The road that he had followed from there turned a corner not far ahead of him, with a few smaller roads and alleyways leading off it. Makeshift houses and shops leaned over the road on both sides, crammed together so tightly that the frames of doors and windows were visibly bent inwards.

"Son?"

Cleopas jumped in surprise as he heard a man's voice calling from nearby. He turned to face in the direction the voice had come from, and found himself looking at a tall, narrow-faced man with silvery grey hair, whose shoulders were abnormally large in comparison with the rest of his body. Walking slowly over to the doorway where the man stood, Cleopas examined the expression on his father's face: it was not one of joy, or even surprise, but instead it signalled disapproval and embarassment.

Deciding to speak before his father in the hope of returning him to good spirits, Cleopas said cheerily: "Father! How are you? How are my brothers and sisters?" However, his father did not alter his expression, and Cleopas looked at the ground in shame. He knew that what his father was about to say would be something to the extent of him not being welcome.

"You should not be here, son. You do not belong in this place... can't you tell? This is a place for poor people like us... terrible things have happened since you left, and you would do well not to make things worse by your presence! Please... you have somewhere better to be, so go back there."

As Cleopas listened, the full scale of the catastrophe that had struck Ascalon began to sweep through his mind. His father was poor and sick, and whatever else remained of his family was in the same situation. He realised that he had arrived at the perfect time, for an expedition of heroes was about to venture to the surface to relieve this starving and helpless community. It was his duty to his family to join them.

Feeling awkward but trying his best to maintain his cheerful stance, Cleopas looked up again. "Father, may I ask of the rest of my family? Is my - "

"Your brother Rithen serves with the town watch," interrupted his father. "And your sister Sheila lives on the other side of town with her husband and two children."

"And my mother?"

"She is gone. Please, do not speak to me of her... or anything else. Go on your way." He waved shakily in the direction of the town square, then turned and disappeared through the doorway, shutting the door behind him. Cleopas thought he heard his father whimpering on the other side.

Determined not to be discouraged by his father's dismissal, Cleopas said a short prayer to Dwayna, then returned hastily to the town square, where the crowd was beginning to disperse. Among the throng was a scrawny-looking scribe, who was speaking to a short warrior wearing platemail.

"Righto guv'nor. Follow those other two and you'll be on your way."

Cleopas eyed the warrior as he ran past, then headed over to the scribe to sign up.

"The name's Cleopas if you need it," he said confidently.

"What? Are you from Kryta or something? You'll have to spell that for me, guv'nah," snarled the scribe.

"It's C-l-e-o-p-a-s... I'm Ascalonian... and I'm a monk. Will that do?"

"All right... off you go then, follow that warrior with the beard. NEXT!"

Laughing to himself at the scribe's uncaring tone, Cleopas turned and ran back through the crowd. He caught sight of the warrior, who was approaching a pale and shady-looking man wearing a maroon cape. Cautiously, the monk followed them, keeping to a distance of about ten paces behind. He would introduce himself when the time was right.

"More food please!" Screamed Dro Ridley Wyvern, they ignored him, I had a plan of getting out of this prisson. Earlier I was hired by an ugly old man... to kill some merchent. Well it turned out he was double crossed me because his actual target was Sir Tydus himself. He have never been so foolish in his life.

I am a great tactitioner and so I had to making a plan to get myself out. First off thow, once I got out where would I go, until I heard my guards talking "well have you heard about that underground place," one of the guards said, He was very large and reminded him of a charr. Othere guard respose was this "that only a legend you shouldnt think of such stupied things."

Dro Ridley thought to him self what do I got to loose. He now had a place to go but now how to get out. He had it, his specialty in assassin arts was his needle throwing and acupuncture technices and he was able to slip exacly 5 needles with him(dont ask where its not good to tell an assassin secerts).

So all he had to do now was to get both guards in here and the- "hey you I want your food now!" it was his room mate "Now!" Dro-Ridley thought to him self saying wow this guy is perfect for my plan but of course I dont need a talking blunder but I can use him. Dro-Ridley Wispered to his room mate "How would you like to get out of here" he noded. He told him this"Im going to play dead your going to go all crazy and ask for help," he noded again I knew he had my back.

"Guards," he screamed and was banging at the door "the other prissoner is dieing he needs help." The two guards looked at each other and went into there cell came near Dro-Ridley's body and said "I guess we dont have to kill him after all tomorrow," Dro-Ridley Struck he used both his needles and stabed both of the guards on the neck. They fell unconsiouse or you could call it a deep sleep. You see by stabing the Spinal Cord in a certain area you could cause they brain to no longer send signels to rest of the body and so it falls asleep or Dro-Ridley figured sleepy time needle technic. They would stay asleep aslong as the needs stayed in place. "Now to get out of this dump," I said to my room mate. "Now take there uniforms off and lets go," My roomate still stuned did as he was told I told him "now get out of here Im going to be getting to a hidding place you get home to your family."

Still in the uniform of the guard he aslo took the guards hammer. He had to get to the armory and get back his hooked daggers he got from his
Master Tahnu and they had slain a great Kurzick leader named Yuri Vasburg many a luxon would pay high price from them. He was hated by all Kurzicks after that day. That and also he needed to drink some of his potion to feel better or he may go into his fit again.

He was able to get back every thing that belonged to him and stashed it away out side of town but suddenly he was called upon by a soldier of the Ascalonian Army he said to me "Hey you you're coming with me to help with watch duty," he said with a smile on my face "You never know when some rogue group of people will attack so we need all the guards we can get tonight." I thought to my self that maby I could hide here aslong as thows guards dont wake up wich will be coming any time then they will all go looking for me. Ill leave tomorrow under the cover of night. Take my stuff and leave. "What could happen," I chuckled to my self "sure im in." He thought to him self what the chances of a raid to night any ways so he slipped his daggers into his boots and took off for the town. Later he relized he was better of leaving while he still could.

Griel slowly turned his head back towards the gruff voice that had startled him. It couldn’t be…how could he have found him here? Besides, he hadn’t seen him in years. Noticing nobody at first, Griel inclined his head lower towards the ground and noticed the face of his old friend, Throrin.
“What are you doing down here, of all places? You crazy dwarf, good to see you again.” Giving a chuckle, he patted the half-dwarf on his helmet, then lowered his voice to a whisper. Only Throrin could hear him now.

“You, of all people, should know my game. I’m going by ‘Lee Feng’ here. I’m an adventurer that was in this raid, or whatever it is, for the money. Of course,” he said, smiling to himself, “that last bit’s true. And also, there’s the small fact that what’s-his-name over there, the one who just shouted, is most likely my new target. Know anything about him?” The assassin gestured over to the patchy elementalist with a bony arm, continuing to follow the ranger woman in front by about fifteen paces.

“Listen. If you don’t want me getting stabbed by every sword in this city, you’d probably want to keep quiet about my…occupation. Remember that I’m an adventurer here, not…you know. Nobody else here knows, saving you I guess. Now, let’s keep walking.” Griel gave a slight nod of his head and continued onward. He began to speak normally again as he walked. “Oh, and I’m fine. Thanks for asking, tiny.” He laughed at his own poor attempt at a joke, then kept following.

(Heh, much shorter that time. I couldn't think of much. I know I'm not leading this thing, but I think we're pretty much full to bursting. With two people playing at least two characters, that makes ten total. Ten people! That's quite a lot in an RP like this. Not saying that we can't do it, but it's going to be hard to balance. I'd suggest we stop taking people in and close it off to everyone else. Um, sorry? )

It had been a few hours ago since Miho Hyroshi had scared of the misshaped savages. More creatures had crossed her path meanwhile, but those did not make any hostile moves. They preferred to stay in their secure hideouts, still impressed by the evil presence among them. Miho felt their eyes watching her, but she had already wasted enough time to these vile mutants. Besides that, she had the feeling she was walking in circles. But on the other side... everything looked the same down here. No points of recognition, no signs of human life, nothing!

As if Grenth himself had heard her thoughts, Miho saw a flashy light far in front of her. The light lasted for only a few seconds, but long enough to reveal its origin. It had been the glimmering of a cold metal in the form of a scythe. Mostly a scythe is a sign for trouble, Miho remembered from her visits to the lands of the golden sun. A scythe is always surrounded by death. The problem is, you never know whose death.
'Its better if I stay a bit in the dark and let the other make the first move,' Miho thought.

It only took a few minutes until she heard a loud male voice saying:

'In the name of Grenth? Who has the nerves to speak of my beloved God!' Miho thought.
But this thought was quickly replaced by another.
How does this person know where I am? I am hidden in the shade!
A creepy feeling rolled over her spinal. When she visited the lands of the golden sun she had met a tribe consisting of powerful, holy warriors. These holy warriors were able to sense dark magics, like Miho was able to sense powers opposite from her. But Miho did not sense divine powers in this person. The person even seemed a little bit frightened. Questions followed by answers went through Mihos mind.
Could this be a holy warrior? No, I would sense his divine powers.
Who is it then? A bounty hunter, adventurer or explorer?
But what if he is a holy warrior?
And what is he doing here, so far from his homelands? Hunting, adventuring or exploring.
Why is this person frightened? Maybe he cannot sense the source of the dark magics.

Her answers were not satisfying and mostly guesses. The only way to know the truth would be speaking to him.

‘Hello brave man, you are the first human being I have seen around here.’ Miho said while staying in the shade.
‘I am wondering… Are there any communities around here, where I could find some rest and a good meal.’
Miho did not believe this man formed any treath for her, so she started walking out of the shade and towards the man.
‘My name is Miho, Miho Hyroshi. I am a servant of Grenth. May I ask you who you are?'
Miho waited for a reply from the man with the scythe.
